Tightening our Nutritional Belts

At K2.0. the philosophy hasn’t changed, but the guidelines have. We’re being stricter with our criteria, in order to incorporate the word “low” into each and every meal we cook. EVERY recipe is low-sodium, AND low in refined carbohydrates, AND low-saturated fat, AND low-calorie. What does this mean for you?

There are a few recipes posted here during the past 4 months that are slightly above the stricter guidelines we are now imposing on ourselves, so those recipes are in the process of being replaced with even tastier and healthier versions of themselves at the bottom of each post. When you see a “Print Recipe” button at the bottom of a post, you’ll know that this specific recipe meets the strict health standards of K2.0, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Whole Grains Council, and the U.S. Department of Health, and the American Cancer Society. COMBINED.

As we progress throughout the month of April, more and more of the recipes previously posted on Kitchen2Point0.com will have print options for you.

We would love to know what kinds of cooking techniques, recipe themes and variations you would like to see in the coming months. Do you have a craving for a specific cuisine that you can’t enjoy because it is too high in carbs, sodium or fat? Let us know in your comments below, or by contacting us at info@kitchen2point0.com.
