As an Empath, this pandemic has pretty much rocked my world. All I’ve ever wanted to do is help people. But this time …? It seems to defy every sensibility, that I can help by hunkering down and staying at home? It’s contrary to everything I have ever done in either of my 2 careers.

There have not been any new K2.0 recipes lately. This Pandemic shit has left me flat. No creativity, no spark, and definitely no new K2.0 posts. I apologize to you all; but I don’t feel creative when I’m living in a virtual vacuum. It just doesn’t happen. Artists and Empaths are like that. I’m flat-lining.

Grace and I made some sanitizer spray today, though, and I thought I would pass the recipe on to you, my readers. It can be used on all soft and hard surfaces, (in your car, on your phone, doorknobs, etc) without having to worry about fabric damage, ie. bleach.

  • 1 and 1/4 C water
  • 1/4C isopropyl alcohol (NOT vodka. It must be at least 60% alcohol.)
  • 1/4 C white vinegar
  • 12-15 drops essential oils, such as lemongrass, peppermint, lemon, or lavender.

Not a very exciting photo, I know. But we’re not feeling very exciting lately.

The second thing we do is to have a sanitizer station at our entryway.

Everyone who enters our home (only 3 people) have to 1st disinfect their phone, and then go to the backroom to wash their hands with disinfectant soap. These two simple steps insure that our home is protected. Everything else stays in the back hall.

Something we ARE doing to maintain our positivity, is posting on our personal Facebook page a 10-point list of what we are grateful for each day. It turns out to be one of the highlights of my day, each day. It feels good to do it, and I encourage you to do the same. These days, little things mean a LOT. Take stock of your blessings, and hold them tight.

xxoo to you all. Stay well, stay safe.
